El Servicio Militar Nacional (SMN), bajo la Secretar\u00eda de Defensa Nacional (Sedena), implement\u00f3 en 2026 un sistema de adiestramiento intensivo que reduce el cumplimiento presencial a trece sesiones sabatinas consecutivas.
La base legal est\u00e1 en el art\u00edculo 5 constitucional y en la Ley del Servicio Militar, que define el servicio de las armas como una responsabilidad p\u00fablica, obligatoria y personal. La Sedena coordina y certifica el cumplimiento en todo el pa\u00eds y en el extranjero mediante la red consular.
